Preparation: When testing for this panel, it's best if you can get your blood drawn in the morning, between 7 am and 10 am. Some tests in this panel should be taken after an overnight (>8h) fast. You can drink water, but do not eat any food during this time.
For at least 24 hours before testing, you should avoid:
Eating liver or liver products
Exercise
Tell your provider about medicines, vitamins, or supplements you regularly take. Some of them might affect the test results. For example, do not consume the following products at least 24 hours before testing:
Thyroid hormone
Biotin (vitamin B7) supplements
Vitamin K
Multivitamins
If you take your thyroid hormone for thyroid disease, you can take your daily dose after your blood has been drawn.
