Preparation: When testing for this panel, it's best if you can get your blood drawn in the morning. Some tests in this panel should be taken after an overnight (>8h) fast. You can drink water, but do not eat any food during this time.
Tell your provider about medicines, vitamins, or supplements you regularly take. Some of them might affect the test results. For example, do not take the following products at least 24 hours before testing:
Thyroid hormone
Biotin (vitamin B7) supplements
If you take your thyroid hormone for thyroid disease, you can take your daily dose after your blood has been drawn.
A cortisol saliva test is also included in this panel. This test is usually done at night before you go to bed when cortisol levels are normally lower. Be careful to follow the instructions that come with your kit. Do not eat, drink, brush, or floss your teeth for 30 minutes before the test.
